For the past several days, I've been coming down with the infamous and dreaded MAN COLD! Last night, it reached its apex and I couldn't breathe through my nose at all and my sinuses were full to bursting, making my head pound like Lars' snare on St. Anger. Vick's Vap-o-rub didn't give relief, and a 45 minute steam shower did little.
Giving up hope, I finally broke down and took Nyquil, breaking my mantra of avoiding medication if possible. It made me drowsy and I had to cut my conversation with my girlfriend, Kayla (Dosed), short.
But then I realized that it wasn't a bad thing... It was a good thing!
I needed that sleep, and badly. I woke up this morning feeling a thousand times better than I did the night before. Even though I had to do something I didn't like doing, I was able to perform my duties as a student

I don't like the idea of putting synthetic substances into my body, so I try to keep it to a minimum. The same goes for high fructose corn syrup.
