That's how I would describe them. Dont try the myspace; not many good songs up there (read: only one from SaAL). The riffing is less traditional melodic death than MPE, the drumming has less blastbeats, and there's more keyboard work (I think), mostly atmospheric. More clean guitar, and no techno, either.

Also, if you download Spirits and August Light, give it time to grow on you. It takes a little while.

Also... Do you like Omnium Gatherum? Spirits and August Light is a masterpiece of Melodic death, if you ask me. That album is like Mors Principium Est... Only more atmospheric, less intense.
