My name's Zach, and I love playing guitar and writing music. I used to play piano since I was about 7 years old but I haven't really played that much since I took up guitar when I turned 16. I only started writing music in december of 06 after hearing one of NovemberRain273's songs and I was inspired to write my own original stuff. I've never taken lessons or anthing, I learned everything I know by praciticing scales in GP and playing songs by ear (plus lessons from youtube haha). I also suck at playing guitar in real life. I'm much better at wrting music than playing it lol.
I spend A LOT of time trying to write songs but I rarley ever write something that I'm truly happy with; I've set my standards too high for myself haha. I am OBSESSED with writing things on acoustic guitar (as you can tell from my songs in GP ). I always try to put strong melodic qualities to the metal stuff I write. I love writing songs that you can just listen to on repeat because you love how it sounds. I basically write music I love to listen to. I've probably listened to/played all of my songs like 100+ times haha.
Writing music is basically my favorite thing in the world. I just go to a place where all of my worries and stress dissappear and I'm completely at peace. There is just no way for me to describe how I feel when I write something. My dream is to one day form a melodic metal band that I'll be able to travel the world with. Money means nothing to me. I just want to write and play music that I love. I would be content until the day I die if I can accomplish that.
I'm trying to start a band, but it's not workin out to good. Nobody around here likes the kind of music I do. It's all about being a gangsta and crap lol. I really do hate living where I am. Hardly anybody around here appreciates good music IMO. So if you live in my area or somewhere near just lemme know if you're interested in gettin together to jam or something. I would really love to form a band though I kind of doubt it'll ever happen where I'm living at now
I also like to go to the beach whenever I can or going camping. I love being outdoors and doing that kind of stuff, and I'm starting college right now and I'm gonna try to major in something for music like production or something, unless I get lucky as a musician . I love nearly all kinds of music except rap, country, most (NOT all) jazz and most (NOT all) pop music, and I do love acoustic guitar, like classical stuff or spanish or whatever really.
I lalso like to skateboard a lot, and It's pretty much my favorite thing to do right behind writing and playing music
