Haha If I run across someone i'll be fine to let them know about you ;] They'll be happy with the results ^^
That's what I plan on going to College for, so while i'm there i'm gonna try and get my name in the business.

DiminishedFifth wrote on Aug 9th, 2009 5:46amI'm not gonna lie, go into soundtrack composing. Like, video games or movies. You write very atmospheric stuff, and it's really amazing. Good job with that!
And your screams are excellent by the way ;] quote |

I found it in the singing thread I was listening to your screaming tutorial, but halfway through my internet failed. I thought the tutorial was cool though, I'll have to check out the whole thing later.

skeleton923 wrote on Jan 27th, 2009 5:20amsweet screaming video. the only thing that idk if is true or not is the part where you said lemon and water. i know you didnt say that anyone should for sure use it, but i still think its kind of questionable because lemon does have some more acidic qualities to it which would just hurt your vocal chords. Anything with carbonation or saltiness is a major no with screaming. Water and tea should be fine. Tea will not help with actually helping though, its no different than water. quote |

shinderhizzle84 wrote on Jan 13th, 2009 1:08amhello again! I feel that I've now got singing from the diaphragm down pat. I can hold a note for a little longer than 20-30 seconds no problem, and start to feel out of breath around 35-45 seconds. Anyways, it's easy when singing. My problem is that when I scream, I can inhale just fine, but I can't seem to be able to take all of the air in my diaphragm and use it towards the scream. Even though I've got all this air in my diaphragm, I don't know how to use it in my scream. I can't push it up and out of my body, and because of this, I end up accidentally using my throat and/or upper chest, which is somewhat painful. Anybody out there, whether it's Z or somebody else, have any suggestions for my problem? Thanks a bunch! quote |
shinderhizzle84 wrote on Jan 10th, 2009 4:05pmalso, on a side note, i'm trying to learn how to scream like the guy from Kalmah, who sounds totally badass. He basically sounds like a frog throwing up. I've been told that he kind of sounds like the singer from Children of Bodom, but I've never really ever heard a CoB song, so I just figured that would be the best way of explaining it. again, thanks so much! quote |
shinderhizzle84 wrote on Jan 10th, 2009 4:04pmhey man, i sent you a PM but i'm not sure if you got it or not. first of all, thanks for making a screaming tutorial that i can actually understand. I got the melissa cross dvd's for hannukah this year, and I can't tell you how much of a waste of money they were compared to this. At least 3/4 of the dvd is just her famous students talking about how amazing she is. the other 1/4 or so is her using very weird terms to describe her techniques that only confuses more than it does help. Of course, the entire time I'm just staring at her freaky hair. On the side, right above her ear, she has like, lime/turqouise green and blood red streaks, and it really creeps me out
Either way, I'm having the same problem as RoytheBattousai was having. My screams are kind of just like an echo, a whisper, if you will. My throat doesn't hurt at all, and I can kind of hear the scream, but it just doesn't have any power or fire in it. It's just a whisper...any help?? quote |
