dhalstead@pacif wrote on Aug 17th, 2010 11:36amWell I have done buggerall music since about March when I played a little bit of guitar in a recording studio on a cover of my brother-in-laws tribute album. The tribute album was released on Friday and is getting some airplay on the alternative radio stations and getting good reviews in the major newspapers. There is a major concert by all the Artists appearing on the CD on Thursday night. I play on Bush Cadillac which is track 8 on Disc 1.
Other than that, I am just listening to good music and kicking back as much as possible. It's been a pretty cold winter here and I am sick of the rain. Bring on Spring!
I hope you are keeping well and I look forward to hearing some more new stuff from you. It's always good!

dhalstead@pacif wrote on Nov 10th, 2009 9:43pmHey you have been a bit quite lately. How have you been going? I am starting to enjoy some warm weather (every day over 30 degrees now). The water at the beach will be warm enough for swims without a wetsuit soon. And the cold beers are going down well. Another Aussie summer - crank up the BBQ, grab another coldie and jammin with a few mates. That's the life! quote |

stratty matt wrote on Jun 13th, 2009 12:59amDude, when you jammed with Noel Gallagher in Cardiff, which shop was it in? Coz there's three or four. And also, when i went to Cardiff about 3 weeks ago i thought i saw Noel Gallagher and Joe Bonamassa walk past while i was in Subway. quote |
strathead64 wrote on Jun 6th, 2009 4:42amI'm loving "higher place" I really like the vocals in this song. Powerful, meaningful and it is supported well by the fast paced acoustic track. The bluesy lick at 3:38 was also pretty nice. (had that hendrix vibe) Great tunes. I'll be sure to check on your music.
P.S. Thanks for the comment on my song quote |

Cheers Danny, It’s always very stress relieving to write a new tune. I'm trying to organise a couple of recordings with the new singer next week [if I can get all he equipment working]. Have you been writing any new tunes recently? |
I hope all goes well with your new vocalist. I think your original songs are great and it will be interesting to see them develop with someone else being involved as well. I am not doing much music at all at the moment. The weather is too good to be stuck inside with a guitar. But I will get back into it again soon (probably Easter when I visit my brother-in-laws who are both musos). Stay Cool!
Cheers, Danny

jasonggabbott wrote on Mar 30th, 2009 8:50pmYou asked about what f/x I use. I am using the great program, GUITAR F/X box!
It is free to try but the purchased version sounds oh so much better. I have also started playing my tapping parts with the guitar upright, it changes the ability to play different notes. quote |
dhalstead@pacif wrote on Mar 30th, 2009 11:08amG'day Yoyo. How are you going?
You have been busy with your new tunes ... they are all very good (as usual).
