So it's 7:00am.I'm half awake and still in my jammies
i get a phone call from a restricted number.i pick it up and it's my friend jesee(a guy) hes crying his eyes out...and i've NEVER in my 3 years of knowing him seen or heard him cry.EVER! he said his parents are getting divorced.A while back the love of his life cheated on him and dumped him.his sister did an od on pills. So he's just about had enough of this life.i tell him to come over so i can help him.he says no.and the last thing he said was "nice knowing you sarah, you've been a great friend"
i call his house a dozen times and i he finally picks up.i told him im coming over there NOW.he said no don't do that i'll just drive.Soo now i'm waiting for him and i'm dead worried cause he's super depressed.i'm afraid hell purposfully get in a car accident.my hands are shaking and all i can do is wait....
anyone please help.i mean i know what to say to him but at the same time..what if he doesn't listen.I don't know what id would say then.ERG
Tell your parents and/or his parents? You shouldn't and (no offence meant) probably can't handle this situation by yourself if he 'really' is considering suicide. Also maybe try some helplines? I don't know if the Samaritans are based in the US as well as the UK. If not a similar organisation might be the way to go.
yes g-dog is absolutely right, you are in no way qualified to deal with a person who is really considering suicide. seek professional help and if all else fails, call the police if you think hes really going to do it and you cant get anyone else to watch over him.
