min is only a lowly x-40 man stock pups needed modding and an OFR =D

Yeah, my X-40 is 100% stock still, I've considered getting it routed for blackouts, havent quite decided yet. And an OFR would be VERY nice...

Part II

I'd rather stay away from parties etc until I get my education sorted out. Of course that doesn't make me a boring person =p, it just means that I'm more inclined to put in the work first and then establish myself later on in the future. Truth be said - if you work really hard now you can end up getting a dream life when you're a little bit older. I still stand by that. I still don't understand people who don't work for it - don't they know they can have a dream life if they just got off their backsides a bit?

In the Summer - I have a few work placements I need to go to: The House of Commons later in the Summer and the Crown Prosecution Service have asked that I should be there in about August. The next 3 years will be solid work for me unfortunately. I'm about to embark the toughest part of my journey. Wish me luck!

Well it's a great start to life what you're about to go through now. All the friends you make and all the hardwork you put in this year will be greatly rewarded when you eventually leave university. Engineering is a good choice - something I did actually consider but I figured that I didn't like math to begin with so it's pretty much a loss/loss situation.
In contrast t you, I greatly believe in the philosophy of maxing yourself out. I tend to really push myself so I can get the rewards later on in life. Personally, I think I'm a lot different to many people.

:( I hate that so much. I'm sick of seeing people fluke exam results when you've been slaving away and revising your ass off - it's completely unfair, which is why I lashed out at that threadstarter (not my first, =p, either). But as I've said before, luck only takes you so far so for those that have extraordinary amounts, it may well be their last. At least that's a comforting thought, despite sounding a little morbid!
Don't worry so much about struggling a little - we all have those days but don't give up! There have been times where I've felt suicidal about the work and stress but it all pays off.
At the end of the day, we'd all rather be successful - great morals, a great career that we enjoy, a family and child to bring up (well, this depends really), great health, great house and living expenses. Mister Threadstarter, here, is cleary a minority; a very small minority!

Enough of the worries of woe of life. How are things and what have you to look forward to in the Summer?

Harmonius wrote on Jun 17th, 2008 12:26am

Hi mate. Don't worry about the thread - I may come off as pretty arrogant but I am a simple person just trying to earn myself a living. I've had some pretty bad grades but I've never stopped trying and I think it's the effort that counts. :)
