It's cool when dudes "prefer lead" or "prefer rhythm", but this whole "oh, I just play rhythm" or "yeah, all I do is leads" is ridiculous.

With bass players/guitarists, it's a matter of one question: would you rather stand out, or fit in?

So, you don't worship a god or follow a religion, but can't disprove ones existance. You sound like an atheist to me, to be an agnostic, you have to SERIOUSLY consider the existence of a deity as probable, or even likely, not just "there is a possibility god might exist". Not that there's anything wrong with being an atheist of course.

Thanks for the comment.

I wouldn't say you need to view it as probable, agnostic refers to knowledge, specifically the belief that knowledge can't be attained.

A lot of people think that agnosticism is fence-sitting, but it's not. In fact it has nothing to do with belief in God specifically, only with belief in the attainability of knowledge of God.

I consider myself an agnostic atheist, which would mean that I don't believe in God (that's the atheist part), but I also don't believe we can ever know if there is a god or not (that's the agnostic part), so I reserve judgment.

I love my ricky, she's like my baby, beautiful looks AND tones. Anyhow enough boasting, incase anyone's wondering

A) why i have a rickenbacker and yet a comparatively mediocre amp
and
B) how I afforded either at age 16.

Well, I have a family that supports all my musical endeavors, to the extent that as long as there's a genuine reason to buy it, it'll be bought (they've already said they're never buying me any more basses, which is fair enough). As well as this, my mother works in the TV industry and, as luck would have it, is a friend of the girlfriend of the owner of the bass centre, Dean Mitchel. This meant i got my rick for the actual cost of making it, which is about £650 ($1200).
So, in short, no i'm not some spoilt brat with rich parents, i'm just a lucky and grateful musician with the bass of his dreams.

In case anyone's in doubt about how much I care for the instrument, when I got a tiny dent on the headstock I almost cried.
