new healthy obsession

I have somewhat of an addictive personality.  It's not so much that i have vices, it's just that when i find something i like, i wrap myself up in it.  This comes from a naturally curious nature.  I am always happy to try something new, within reason, if time permits and if it interests me enough.  So now this guy is interested in DRUM MACHINES.  Particularly this one:

These things look like a lot of fun, and i'll be getting my hands on one these by the end of the week!!

My main motivation to get a drum machine now is to use for recording.  THE BAND made our first recordings on FL a few months ago and though there were many tracks that were solid (MIND LIMP, LA LA, FREEDOM)  the rest were lacking a little ... OOMPH (CNSMRSM, WOMANIZR, VIVA).  They missed good drums.

FL had some promising kits, but somehow how we couldn't make it work.  What CNSMRSM, WOMANIZR & VIVA need are some good hip hop kit sounds.  I'm not sure what MINDLIMP may need, i think it sounds good as a vulnerable yet powerful epic.  FREEDOM may just need the good deep djembe sound with which it was first incarnated.  B4U GO UR WAY  might just need some good production beat from urs truly :)

I'm fixing up an old speaker so i can have a designated output for this machine.
Once I or my girls master the streetboxx i hope to use it live...

THAT'S WHAT'S UP
