I can't believe there's a site where people actually read each others' blogs and stuff. Usually I write stuff, and no one cares. I always see a small group of people who write huge stuff about dumb things; like how their day went, or the latest celebrity gossip, and people LIKE IT!? Here people write about things that apply to everyday life, and it relates to music most of the time. (seeing as it is UG.com) I just wanted to thank everyone for participating and making this a great learning experience, as well as a chance to make some new friends. Well, I have to go. Thanks for reading!
I know that in one of my earlier blogs I was talking about settling for an alternative way of playing 'Back in Black', but I thought about it, and I decided that I won't settle for anything less than the whole, real thing. The way Angus Young intended people to play it. The message is don't settle for less than the best. Unless you suck. Then you might have to.
The other day I was trying to play 'Back in Black' by ACDC and I just could NOT get the part after the A Major and I wanted to just drop it and quit for the day. My friend was sitting next to me and said "Just play a rhythm with the last chord and take one of your fingers off the fretboard and put it back on every once in a while". I did it with my ring finger, and it sounded really cool. The point is, don't give up, and just try to do something that sounds similar, but you can do it confidently.
