hey, yeah i had a look at your mesa's, fell in love with the look of the black face DR!
Im loving the F100 thanks, i didnt plan to get it originally, just saw it on ebay going cheap, and i knew they were good so i just went for it :P I've written a proper review here on UG if you wanna look more...
Oh btw, how dus that bugera compare to the 5150? My friend is thinking of getting the 6262...
thnx, cya |
the old 2channel Mesa Dual rects are the best sounding out of all of them.
but yeah man...my Bugera 6262 has a very close tone to the 5150 II.
the Bugera is a bit more mid rangey and the 5150 II is more low end.
the lead channel on the bugera is OUTSTANDING...has more gain then you will ever need. its pretty tight IMO. the 5150s are more raw sounding but the Bugera 6260/6262 is bit more defined.

Yngwi3 wrote on Jun 30th, 2008 8:26pmCheers for the comment on the Ibby
I removed the middle pup because it kept spazzing out on me with the two active EMGs - switching pups was a bitch because sometimes one of them would cut out or have verrry low output. I was just experimenting, and taking out the single coil worked so I kept it

iamtompublic wrote on Apr 20th, 2008 3:32pmYeah on the one called Rosu Rosu its me experimenting with the 57 and 609 (but the 906 is supposedly way better)
I'm a sucked for a good low end. quote |

MESAexplorer wrote on Mar 2nd, 2008 7:10pmIt was a pretty cool amp. Definatly worth $700 that I paid for it. One of the best clean tone's I've heard in an amp, very dark, a very full fender tone going on. The gain channel was pretty cool. A little bit too thick, I didn't have an overdrive at the time so it was kinda hard to use, especially with my weak playing skills. Had a ton of bass, something I wish I had now. Great amp overall though, especially for the price. quote |
