You could get a G-System instead of the G-Major, as it can be used in a rack and on the floor, and the large midi board it comes with is fully set up to work with it. It can also change amp channels and shiz. Costs a bit more though.

g major is good for the price tbh. im probs gonna get a g-sharp though. even cheaper, and still has a mdi interface. no noise gate though.

good job in not changing amps man. the amp you have now is a beast! Mesa F100 sounds amazing. i have been playing my Mesa MK IV for about 6 years now and LOVE it, i still have a 5150 II sitting at my house that needs some serious work due to a transformer blew on the thing, but that will be the only other amp that i will use along my Mesa and my Bugera 6262. i have THD univalve as well that i keep at the house for practice and all

Make your own guitar, that's what I did! I baught a shitty First Act Metal Electric Guitar from Wam-Mart for $100, then took the neck, pickup, pots and jacks off and put them on the one I made! I am thinking about making my own pickup, I just need some neodymium magnets, and some 42 - 43 guage wire!
