Tell me why lead singers are so difficult to come by these days. This blows.. We aren't getting anywhere without a lead singer >_< It gets pretty tame, writing songs without a lead singer :P crossing my fingers yet, searching for one. Aw hell I'LL JUST SING and make a disgrace out of my band haha
Well my band dispanded a couple of months ago.. but hey look who bounced back with a brand new set of band members all there is now to do is find a lead singer. Those are actually hard to find.. at least around here.. and we might need to let our bassplayer get a little better.. but hey! ITS ALL GOOOOOD
Ever get the feeling that you're getting nowhere with your progress and practicing? I felt like I've hit a roadblock in the technique department. Of course I'm gonna work on it but... yeah damnit
For starters, we had a crappy sound guy. I dunno what the hell happened, but our drummer had a pretty bad sound oscillation from time to time, wasn't our fault but it sucks. The crowd seemed to like our music, which is just great since we worked hard on it and it paid off. Most of you guys who also play live from time to time know how annoying sweat on hands are when you solo. Unless of course you have som form of sweat limiter xD But over all I think we all did great. It wasn't the biggest crowd, perhaps 300-400 people, don't really remember the count. But they seemed to like us, wether it was the atmosphere or our actual music that made people jump up and down, I can not say for sure yet ;D My band members and I went wild afterwards, we were so psyched that we finally got our name out there. So the plan now is just keep on doing what we're doing, and at some point one of us has got to do a MySpace page, although none of us really knows how Anyway keep an eye out for Only Sin myspace page (most likely www.myspace.com/onlysinband) and support us however possible
So.. now my full gear list is in order.. Although my Peavy ValveKing stack isn't the most expensive and might not be the greatest equipment out there, it sure as hell kicks ass in our rehearsal studio. We're all set for our first gig as Only Sin (and first gig at all for one of us ). Hopefully all will go well and my band members won't go chicken when they discover how nerveracking a first gig is.
Finally got my new guitar home.. see, for people like me (poor people :P) we have to wait a long time to get what we want. And when we finally do, well it's great. Hopefully I'll get to save up for some decent equipment too
