All in all, great guitar, good sound, and unbeatable price. I think you'll like it if you wish to play high gain aggressive metal. But definitely try it out in a store first.

I use an overdrive pedal with mine, but that's because my poweramp/second preamp/cab are a bass amp, so I need all the boost I can get (Look at my gear pic of the Marshall+Harkte to understand what I mean)
These pickups will handle high overdrive metal easily, and have handled well so far when it comes to harmonics (Pinch harmonics/harmonic squeals & whatever). Only problems so far is that the grounding that attaches to the bridge plate thing (The bit where the springs attach), is faulty on mine, and until I duct-taped it down, grounding would come & go with trem use, also occasionally my neck pickup squeals like mad.

Tone - Although this guitar is made from agathis, the tone is nice and strong, good for metal.

Anything I missed - The finish is a little weak, but still quite good, best you can get unless you buy something really high end.
This guitar is basically identicle to the Jackson RR range, except for the cutout, which is the same as the ESP Alexi Laiho signature guitars.

Okay, my review on it may help a little, but I'll give you a quick rundown of my experience with it so far (I wrote my review only after like a week of having it, but nothing has really changed)

Okay, so -
Trem - Decent for an LFR, although an OFR would be nice =), it is nice and smooth, and is quite stable when it comes to tuning, I don't have to tune often. The only problem so far is that the bar is slightly thinner than the cavity it fits in, although if you tighten the screw thingy enough, you wont have that problem. (8/10)

Pickups - The EMG-HZ H4 open pickups that come with this guitar are better than one would expect for cheaper, made-in-korea pickups. The tone is nice and bright, and definitely has some of that EMG 81 tone in there, although with a fair bit less output.
