About unclehowie
hiya kids, unclehowie's real name is mark. I grew up listening to chuck berry, little richard, buddy holly, carl perkins, gene vincent, eddie cochran, and elvis, then the beatles came along and nothing was the same. wanted a guitar back then but the folks wouldn't get me one. got one on my own when i decided i really wanted to play in 1971. lots of good stuff to listen to around then, lots of good influences in music. i like big band from the 40's, rock and the blues from the 50's, 60's ,70's and some 80's even some current stuff. can't read a note of music and never took a lesson, learned 99% on my own. not ready to quit my day job yet, but i can keep up pretty good, spend most of my free time playing.
i will talk about anything from the weather, to horrible movies, to physical and/or mental health related issues, to food, to seemingly insignificant things that puzzle me, but i enjoy talking about art, music, and guitars the most. i can get rather chatty depending on how potent i make me coffee in the morning, and i'm still new at this computer thing and may ask questions about stuff i don't understand, but this is a nice way to spend time when i'm not busy playing. i'm pretty much old school being as i was born in 1955, but a wise man once said,"if you're lucky, you'll grow old, but never grow up". drop me a note if you want, don't peek without at least saying hello. -l8rhosen.
