DazzaSchwings wrote on Dec 22nd, 2009 12:45pmI like your "loop" tracks. They're good. Kind of like Pygmalion crossed with Selected Ambient Works 2. quote |
xwearesinking wrote on Oct 25th, 2009 12:57amthat would be wonderful, i'd love to meet more people into ambient stuff. unfortunately i don't really have a lot of time to jam and stuff right now, but i'd still like to talk to him. thanks a ton quote |
xwearesinking wrote on Sep 1st, 2009 2:57pmSure, just let me know whenever works for you. I'll be pretty busy so to be honest I think it might be pretty hard to fiind time to jam. quote |
xwearesinking wrote on Aug 30th, 2009 8:27pmI start school again on Tuesday, the 2nd. If you wanted to meet up tomorrow I could probably do it anytime after I finish the radio show. quote |
xwearesinking wrote on Aug 29th, 2009 11:04pmSorry i haven't been able to get the drum thing for you, I've been crazy busy. I'll try and do it by Monday quote |
xwearesinking wrote on Aug 21st, 2009 4:27pmI think I know what you're going for. I'll try to record something early next week since I work all weekend.
Do you want me to hit a crash cymbal at the beginning of each bar so you can keep track of where you are? 5/4 can be a bit tricky to jam along too. quote |
xwearesinking wrote on Aug 21st, 2009 4:50amBY THE WAY
did you walk into the rideau center from the main entrance on rideau st. at approximately 3:03 pm today? quote |
xwearesinking wrote on Aug 21st, 2009 4:48amI think that's good enough. How fast show I play?
The quality will be MUCH worse than my demos, cause drums are wayyyy louder than what I have my amp set at. You'll hear tons and tons of clipping. I'll try to make it work though quote |
xwearesinking wrote on Aug 21st, 2009 3:42amErrrr, I can try. I mean, I don't have any problem whatsoever playing in odd time signatures, I just might have a problem recording. I can write something on the computer and send it to you as a MIDI file if you want? Or I can try recording, it'll be absolutely horrible quality though.
What type of beat do you want? What tempo? I can do a polyrhythm, so the snare would be accented as if it were a 4/4 beat, but in 5/4. Eighth notes? Sixteenths? Busy snare-work? Tom work? High hat? Ride? Tell meeeeee quote |

Lots of post-hardcore groups are claimed to be screamo.
But hey, the name just doesn't matter at the end of the day. |

Of course it is.
It just goes by the wrong name. |
but if fits under shoegaze is just a bit more of a harsh sound then a dreamy sound. Most of them all claim to be shoegaze as well

Anyway, incase you can't remember what we were talking about, mine comes with humbuckers. At the moment, I'm trying to.... learn to love the killswitch, which I think is useless, seriously. Next year I'm thinking of doing something to the switch, giving it a better purpose rather than a killswithc.
Why next year you ask? Warranty. quote |

It's very APTBS-sounding, isn't it? I quite like it... Awesome band name, by the way.
My "band" (my girlfriend, our keyboard's programmed drum tracks and me) are just starting to work on our first new material since November. If you want, I'll let you know as soon as we've recorded. |
i do indeed love aptbs but i prefer ceremony and skywave to them, but are still amazing and amazing live! The name is a quote from Satre, that would be cool, you gonna record at a studio or do it yourself?

ragingtom wrote on May 10th, 2009 8:00pmYeah it sounds good, i just record onto my laptop with the cheapest available equipment so it always comes out noisy ha. I'm the same im not entirley satisfied with my distortion pedal, i have the boss mega distortion but have snowball by napalm pedals which is a copy of total sonic annihilation by death by audio so can get noise from that. My band have done a new song, if you want to listen and critique feel free www.myspace.com/nothingexistedtoday, have your band done any more recordings? quote |
