Well finishing in first doesnt mean you win either. Top 10 is what matters. The judges pick the "grand prize" winner from the top 10. Which was the all expense paid trip to austin for the music festival. $1000 from guitar center. $1000 from converse shoes and $40 for food down in austin. I think the other prizes are just $1000 from guitar center? Im not sure. Either way - guitar center money is always good!

We just play wherever we can. We knew we were going to have to play dumpy places to get to the nicer ones. Still not at the top obviously, but we are ascending at a not so bad rate, haha. Our drummer entered us into one of those online competitions. I dont know how big of a deal they are. Or if they are a scam. Like in the newport area of KY. We are playing a show next month in Dayton, Ohio (about 45 minutes away from Newport) opening for Skindred (haha remember them? Yeah they are still around evidently) and we are supposed to sell tickets to the show, and Im having a rough time selling them!

OKay awesome. I can't wait to see what you have. I'll have a few more up over Christmas break. Some that I want to put on the same album as "Epic", which leans towards the same progressive feel as it.

And yeah, that would be really cool. That would mean every instrument in the song would be real!

Yeah, I hope the same on your end. Actually I do very much want to part lyrics and vocals to it, the version I have up is just my first "draft" so to speak. I worked on some lyrics for it, but some parts of it were kind of rubbish. If you have any lyrical ideas, I would lvoe to see what you have, especially because I love Nevermore AND Coheed .
