The foam piece isn't a big deal. Get some craft foam from a craft store, and cut a little piece to go under the pickup.

My dad got it from a friend who got it from someone who used to play with Bruce Springsteen I believe. Of course it could be a totally different guy named bruce. I'll ask him when he gets home.

Sorry man it is busted as fuck right now. A soldering came loose a year or 2 ago and I had no idea what to do. Took it apart and slowy it started to fall apart. Now I am pretty good with electronics and am starting to fix it. It really just needs some new pots and jack but is totally taken apart. Just a body with a bridge and tuners. But I have it in pieces around my room. This fall I'm gonna get the parts and put it back together. Which reminds me. There was a small piece of foam originally underneath the pickup. Or course I lost it : Would you by any chance no if it is important or can I just mount the pickup in?
