Broken_Drum wrote on Aug 7th, 2008 1:09amThanks, I didn't like The Slip too much at first but it's grown on me. I think after I heard Ghosts I was expecting something even better and I was a bit let down on my first listen. quote |
bartdevil_metal wrote on May 18th, 2008 11:25pmThe one thing it doesn't do is use different FX at the same time. You can only use one effect and one reverb at a time. So no delay nd chorus
As to reliability issues, I've never heard of any or had any. I've had it about a year. The only thing that's wierd is that if you turn preset mode on and off too fast on the unit (this doesn't happen when footswitching it) It goes crazy and emits hugely loud static in bursts. All the lights flash red, the whole nine yards. But you unplug it and plug it in again and it's fine. You just have to be careful not to push too many buttons at once.
So, I hope that helps, now you've heard me talk about it quote |
bartdevil_metal wrote on May 18th, 2008 8:54pmI really like the G sharp, I never play with it off. Even when it's not adding effects and is set on bypass. It adds some compression to the signal (ver subtle), but it's there, and thats part of the reason it is always in my effects loop. It tames my signal.
The effects are all pretty good, but I'd say it's true value shows through when you use the delay and light reverb presets. I'm not a big fan of obvious effects anyway, so the vibrato/flanger hold no value to me. The light Chorus is nice, and the phaser also. Vintage phaser and lush chorus are a bit OTT for me. Oh yeah, and you can mix the dry and wet signals, it has 99 presets, you can run the two engines parallell or serial etc. quote |
