some guy came in with an Epiphone banjo someone sat on. He did not care if it looked good. against my better judgement, I fixed it for him.
Break: Along the neck, by the truss rod. For about 1 foot there is a diagonal break starting by the nut. This break chipped the bell shaped cover, leeaving a shard sticking out.
Fix: Epoxy and clamp on the neck, used a grinder to carefully take the shard off cleanly. sanded neck to gain better smoothness. while I was on break, the guy came back and took off with the banjo, which I was going to refinish for that part of the neck. he may recieve warping, a definite possibility in this part of the world.
