I do English as well! It's just the best subject, obvs 
In the UK children start school at age 5, which is year 1, and then leave primary school in year 6 (age 11). In primary school they just have one teacher. Then they go on to secondary school which is year 7 (age 11-12) until year 11 (age 16) where you have teachers who just do one subject, then they can do vocational training or 6th form, which gives you qualifications to go to uni, meaning you leave in year 13 at 18.
It's so rewarding, but they are soooo badly behaved. So much fun though.
