Lamb of God praised for lack of orgionality

Heres the article

So lets break things down...

  • Lamb of God is not having their albums proffesionally mastered to save money opps i mean so you the fans can do it
  • Nine Inch Nails actully didnt already do this ....that was different right?
  • This will result better mixes of the music by 14 year olds kids with garageband rather then a trained proffesional on a protools system
So now lets look at this agian. Lamb of God is doing nothing orgional, Nine Inch Nails have done this long ago and nothing good is going to come from it. This article should not have been homepage material.
If your a fan of the band this is a cool thing for a fan, but im sure the LOG fans would rather have this album released for fans to remix aswell as remixed and proffesional remix.
Lets face the fact that 95% of people who remix these tracks will try a few things and after 10 minutes give up and go back to playing xbox.

LOG should send $1 to trent of NIN for every download and another $5 for everything I site like UG covers the story, seeing as it was his idea

As much as I would agree with you, the CD they're doing this with does actually have a professionally mixed version that came out already (I think around a year ago). This is a re-release for people who want to mix it themselves, because (I've noticed as a fan/listener - I'm only a fan of certain albums by them) their mixes can leave something to be desired sometimes. The singing overpowers everything else, so in reality, this is them admitting the mixing job sucked enough that 14 year olds with Garageband could do better.
Otherwise a good analysis.
And one kudo for making me lol: "Lets face the fact that 95% of people who remix these tracks will try a few things and after 10 minutes give up and go back to playing xbox."
