For all my 3 years and a bit that I've been here I've always lurked in the pit. For a good long time I would come to UG and the pit to view some witty remarks, stupid posts and good hearted trolling to satisfy my humorous needs. Sadly I feel this time may have come to an end.
It seems the pit has lost it's originality, creativity and sense of humour. Maybe it's the recession, or maybe it's the 09ers (it isn't either of those).
I think the real problem, or part of it, is a group of users who are apperently highly thought of. I won't name anyone but you might be able to guess. Users who pretty much spam the threads with stupid and pointless posts, like 'cool blog bro', 'k' and just generally unfunny trolling. Now most users would get a warning for some of the posts but these users seem to get away with it. I don't know if it's favouritism or something else but it pisses me off.
Then you get the newer users who suck up to that group of UGers, which in turn makes them more popular. It's just like sheep following a sheppard.
That's my biggest annoyance. I have some smaller ones as well though. Pointless threads like the shoop threads, there seems to be at least one a day including a crap picture which people fail to improve.
Also the fact that alot of the users sound 13-15 and think words like 'pooper' or 'butt' are funny . It would be nice if the users were older and in turn, more witty and more mature.
Even the older users seem to have lost their sense of humour. Trolling seems to be the in thing, but they fail to make smart of funny comments.
To me it looks like the pit is slowly becoming /b/, with it getting more popular nowadays. And even /b/ is shit now, it's full of 14 years olds who just post pictures of gay orgies.
Anyway, that's me done. To sum it up, I would love to become a mod and be totally ruthless to anyone who posts what I would call spam. I'm gonna try keep away so I don't have to be let down by the unfunny nature of the pit. It will be hard seeing as I'm unemployed and do nothing in the day...I'll just have to read a book.
-People on COD:WAW who constantly use MP40 and juggernout on multiplayer -Generally COD:WAW -Internet d/connecting -Freeview signal going crap in the middle of a programme I'm watching -Programs taking ages to load on a computer -Pop ups which you close, only to find you have closed the window you were browsing -Losing the jack for my amp to plug in headphones -When my guitar lead falls out in the middle of playing a song -Pouring a drink, then tripping up right after and spilling drink

I don't understand why so many people on here hate rap music. I've always thought that to be a great musician instead of just a good musician, you had to accept all kinds of music and learn to use them. And don't most people on here want be a great musician?
I like rap. I like it more than death metal or indie music, but I don't go round spreading my hatred for the genre. I don't call their members talentless either. Sure, I don't like their music, but to get to a postition where someone is selling records worldwide, surely they must have some talent. Alot of people don't realise that their songs don't show the length of someones talent. Many musicians are better than their songs suggest, example; Billie joe armstrong being able to solo really well, when with Green day he mainly plays power chords.
Also alot of rap/r'n'b stars can play guitar, so stick that rap haters.
Btw, this is just a general rant for no reason. The real reason for this blog is to get my 100% profile.
I just ordered some tickets for the mighty boosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They sold out the venue a few months back, but I looked on ticketmaster today and they had opened two new days!!!!!
