So a bunch of my friends and myself got together, and formed a melodic death metal band just for fun. We play a lot of covers, particularly by Amon Amarth, and we never really figured we would go anywhere. All of a sudden it seems that we are getting request after request to play at various local venues, and it seems that we always bring a relatively big crowd, particularly for a death metal show in the middle of an area where this kind of subculture is very taboo. I gotta say, I'm surprised that this has gone anywhere, particularly as far as it has.
