Myspace streaming Lily Allen's It's Not Me, It's Y

MySpace Music is currently premiering Lily Allen’s sophomore album, It's Not Me, It's You, for the week of February 3rd, one week before the album’s official US release on February 10th. It's Not Me, It's You can be pre-ordered on Lily's MySpace page this week and will be available for purchase via MySpace Music on February 10th. In addition to her global album premiere, fans should stay tuned for exciting MySpace news about special performances by Lily Allen.

Working in a tiny rented house in England's Cotswolds and at Eagle Rock Studios in Los Angeles, Allen wrote and recorded the album's 12 songs with producer Greg Kurstin, who collaborated with her on three tracks for debut album, Alright, Still - "Everything's Just Wonderful," "Alfie" and "Not Big."

Lily Allen became a household name after the release of her debut album, Alright, Still in December 2006, and was voted one of the best albums of the year by Mixmag. In 2007, the record was nominated for the award of “Best British Album” at the BRIT Awards and Lily was nominated for “Best New Artist” at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. The album was nominated for a 2008 Grammy Award in the category of "Best Alternative Music Album.” Alright, Still has sold over 2,600,000 copies worldwide.

COHEED & CAMBRIA ‘s Neverender Tour

COHEED & CAMBRIA ‘s Neverender Tour is an event created by the band to perform live for nights, in four different cities, all four of their concept records in their entirety. The albums will be played in order from beginning to end. NEVERENDER was originally intended to take place in New York and Los Angeles exclusively. The 15,000 tickets for these shows sold out entirely within an astounding three hours of going on sale. When the band saw how fast all 8 shows sold, they decided to extend the tour to include Chicago and London.

“NEVERENDER came about because we wanted to celebrate the end of the Coheed and Cambria saga in a special way,” says Coheed frontman Claudio Sanchez. “We wanted to come up with an idea that paid proper respect to this phase of our career, while at the same time gave our fans something truly unique and different. Many of these songs have never been played in front of an audience before so I think we’re going to be freaking out at the same time our fans are. It’s going to be a major challenge. We’re psyched our fans have been so loyal and amazing. We figured they deserved this.”

The band’s latest record, No World for Tomorrow, represents the final chapter of The Amory Wars, the brutally tragic sci-fi tale of Coheed and Cambria Kilgannon and their family, a story that wraps all of the band's concept albums into one.

“We’re really looking forward to going deep and revisiting not only the songs, but also the story,” Sanchez offers. “Interestingly enough, us going over all the old material seems to be influencing our writing of the next record, which we're sort of doing simultaneously. And to me, that seems appropro since the next story is the prequel to The Amory Wars.”

Coldplay announce tour dates and new album

COLDPLAY ANNOUNCE "VIVA LA VIDA"
NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH UK/EUROPEAN DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON

Details Released For Free Madison Square Garden
& Brixton Academy Show Tickets On Coldplay.com

Coldplay announce their "Viva La Vida" North American Tour in support of their new album of the same name, which will be released on June 17th. The US tour will kick off on June 29th in Philadelphia, PA. Ticket information is available at
http://www.coldplay.com. British/European dates will be announced shortly.

Before kicking off the "Viva La Vida" tour, Coldplay will play free concerts in London (June 16th at Brixton Academy) and New York (June 23rd at Madison Square Garden). Information on how to win tickets to these shows will be available at
http://www.coldplay.com beginning today. The contest will run from May 9th through to June 1st. Winners will receive notification on June 5th.

Viva La Vida
, Coldplay's forthcoming album, will be released by Parlophone on June 12th. Produced by Brian Eno and Markus Dravs, the record is the follow-up to 2005's X&Y, which debuted at #1 in 32 countries and has sold 10 million copies worldwide to date.

The album's lead single "Violet Hill" was downloaded by two million people during the recent one-week period in which the band made the song available to fans for free. It is now for sale at all digital retailers.

Coldplay will perform "Violet Hill" on the Today Show on NBC on Friday, June 27th. US fans are encouraged to check out the performance in person. Viewing is on a first-come, first-served basis outside the show's Window on the World Studio, located at 49th Street and Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. The band will also perform on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" on June 26th.

"[Lead singer Chris] Martin broods over a lost lover with a snarling acidity that makes him sound more human than ever - miles away from the dreamy romantic he was on soaring ballads like 'Speed of Sound,'" said Rolling Stone, naming "Violet Hill" a must-have in a recent "Downloads" column. "Jonny Buckland rips jagged, bluesy riffs that match Martin's mood while drummer Will Champion and bassist Guy Berryman maintain a stalking beat...primal rock & roll."

People In Planes release new album on June 24, 200

PEOPLE IN PLANES announce BEYOND THE HORIZON
scheduled  for  release on  JUNE 24, 2008.

Welsh quintet People In Planes have announced their upcoming Wind-up Records release Beyond The Horizon is due to hit on store shelves on June 24th. It is the second full length album from People In Planes’ lead singer Gareth Jones, guitarist Peter Roberts, bassist Kris Blight, drummer John Maloney, and keyboardist Ian Russell.

The second album from People In Planes has four producers on board with material recorded in seven different studios across America, England and Wales. The producers include Our Lady Peace frontman Raine Maida, Queens of The Stone Age collaborators 'Eleven,' Panic At The Disco producer Matt Squire and Doves/Massive Attack producer Dan Austin, who the band had worked with on the early demos for their debut As Far As The Eye Can See.

Months ago, the quintet shared "Pretty Buildings," as a first offering. The track, available at digital retailers, while being posted on blogs across the Internet, was received with raves from dozens of tastemakers, and thousands of fans. Newsweek exclaimed, "This ballad, rich in melody with strong, searching lyrics, shows why this group is one to watch." The first single from Beyond The Horizon, "Mayday (M'aidez)" will be available via iTunes on May 6, bundled with "Last Man Standing" and a video of "Pretty Buildings." That clip, which originally premiered on Pure Volume, can be viewed here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kp-Wg0njn7Y.

People In Planes began a North American tour in front of Beyond The Horizon at SXSW in March. Guitarist Peter Roberts tells, "Touring for Beyond The Horizon has felt like a re-birth in as much as we've spent a year fine tuning the record, and consequently every chord change feels like a special one! The dynamic of the band is now even vaster in the lead vocals being a two-pronged attack, arrangements and sonic capabilities are even grander, but essentially song wise - people are already singing every word of our first Internet release 'Pretty Buildings'. Thank God for the web."

The itinerary for People In Planes current tour brings them to stages across the U.S. and Canada and includes these confirmed appearances:

5/01 SEATTLE, WA - SKYLARK CAFÉ & CLUB
5/07 LOS ANGELES, CA - VIPER ROOM
5/08 VANCOUVER - BILTMORE CABARET

Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame pays tribute to basebal

ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM PAYS TRIBUTE TO AMERICA'S NATIONAL PASTIME

CLEVELAND (March 31, 2008) -  Take Me Out: Baseball Rocks! is devoted to the many connections between America's most popular music form and its national pastime and will open on Saturday, April 26 in the Ahmet M. Ertegun Main Exhibit Hall at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.

The exhibit will celebrate baseball as a pop-culture phenomenon through displays of sheet music, sports memorabilia, records and film. It will also include listening stations stocked with early recordings and will include displays on baseball-associated songs from "I Love Mickey,” Teresa Brewer’s 1956 Mickey Mantle tribute, to the Seattle Mariners/New York Mets anthem "Who Let the Dogs Out?" (Baha Men, 2000). A second area will cover the early to mid 20th century and focus on musical tributes to Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Lou Gehrig, Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, Larry Doby, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle and entire teams such as the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankees.

In addition, the exhibit will include artifacts related to baseball players who were also musicians, like the Milwaukee Braves' Lee Maye, who enjoyed a successful career as an R&B singer in the mid-Fifties. Rock and roll references to baseball, from Chuck Berry's "Brown Eyed Handsome Man" to Simon and Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson" to John Fogerty's "Centerfield," will also be featured.
Other artifact highlights are:

· Sheet music for the 1911 version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."
· Baseball cards representing players who also had music careers, like Denny McLain (Detroit) and Jack McDowell (Cleveland).
· Signed balls and bats from the 1997 American League champion Cleveland Indians, members of whom performed at yearly "TribeJam" charity rock concerts, featuring Omar Vizquel on drums and Mark Langston on guitar.
A final section will feature a collection of filmed interviews with individual Cleveland Indians players, such as Grady Sizemore and Travis Hafner, who will explain why they chose particular songs to represent them when they are up at bat.
