Umm, im not totally sure - but what has come out of it is - higher gain (potentially), louder, more headroom - and not just because of the tubes - smoother top end, more mids and more of a ring in the chords.
Sounds just generally a lot more classic than the modern tone of stock - nails the Lizzy, Zep and heavy older rock tones - as well as modern of course!
