Blogging is something I find pretty hard to do. For me, it is really hard to write just for the sake of writing.  Good writers sit down and hone their craft by writing every day.  That is hard for me, but something I want to develop.  So thus the blog.

At this point, I am taking a term off from school.  My wife counted up all my hours from working full time and going to school full time.  70-80 hours a week is a pretty tough schedule.  So now I am kicking back and just working full time.  Ohhhhh, the luxury!!

In the studio, I have been working on a song that I wrote a long time ago – “New Life”.  I am also working a song by Tom Waits called “Down in the Hole” – Steve Earl is the latest to cover it and is the intro for the show “The Wire”.  Love that song!!!

My buddy Jon is coming over tomorrow to start work on his CD.  He has a whole bunch of songs written.  I am hoping we can bang out 5 or 6 click tracks.  We shall see!

NP – Doobie Brothers Live Rockin’ Down the Highway  - I have been in a Doobie Brothers / Michal McDonald mood over the past few days.  Michael’s new album, Soul Speak is very, very good.  Highly recommend it.  I love that guys voice.
