Yeah, I think you'll get better results that way than using the zoom onboard stuff.

I've had great results recording just my plain guitar directly, then using software and impulses. I can send you some free stuff to dick around with, as long as you have reaper or something to use it in

(I wasn't really sure between the SS and Modeling one of the sounded like they constantly had a more harsh high end which I gave to the SS)
