Hop on, onto my bamboo train
Hop on, onto my bamboo train
Let’s get to the city, sell that sugar cane
The motorbikes’ too small, the big train too slow
Load up my truck, quick, we gotta go
Hop on, onto my bamboo train
Let’s get to the city and sell that sugar cane
Hop on, onto my bamboo train
Hop on, onto my bamboo train
Let’s get to the city and sell that sugar cane
We’re off to the city and there’s others comin’ back
Gonna have us a problem on this single lane track
Hoppin’ on, onto my bamboo train
Let’s get to that city, sell that sugar cane
Hop on, onto my bamboo train
Hop on, onto my bamboo train
Let’s get to the city and sell that sugar cane
Lift off my load, let the other train through
Jostle for position on the bamboo queue
Back up and running, on the bone-shakin’ track
Not stopping again ‘til I’m on my way back
Homebound journey, another train comin'
One day we’ll have a service, not a bamboo shakin'
Hop on, onto my bamboo train
Hop on, onto my bamboo train
Let’s get to the city and sell that sugar cane
Acoustic instrumental for submission into the UG Acoustic album. Played this version through an amp so it has a slightly different feel. { Tags : acoustic, woe, instrumental, album }
Possible entry for the Blues Duels (2), but I may record something different for that. This is my first track using someone elses backing track - which I don't usually do as they sound sterile and leave me with lack of inspiration as I improvise my solos. The backing track kicks in at 01:15. Not a great solo, but I had a bit of fun messing with the intro. { Tags : backing, track, solo, blues, liquid, blue, guitar, alternative, intro, instrumental }
Blues. Probably qualifies as smooth jazz too. Instrumental again! Partly inspired by the song 'Spooky'. { Tags : blues, smooth, jazz, solo, instrumental }
A test recording. Opening lick based on the track 'Worried Feeling' by Bakerloo (Dave Clem Clempson). { Tags : test, blues, solo, short, worried, feeling, bakerloo }
In tribute to the inventor of the power chord. The original was recorded in 1958 and banned because of its aggressive style and the song title. Classic!
This is not a strict rendition, but is done in tribute... { Tags : link, wray, rumble, solo, instrumental, cover }
Grunge and pure filth. Inspired by the late 60's and early 70's acid/psych/heavy blues bands. Blue Cheer, Urang-Utan, Euclid, Rumplestiltskin, Human Instinct etc.. { Tags : blues, rock }
One of Duster Bennetts' more famous numbers, this is based on the cover version by Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac. { Tags : jumping, shadows, instrumental, blues, solo }
Improvised in one take, then fashioned some electric guitar jam around it to try and make a song out of it. 2 hours later I ended up with this - testing my audacity skills.
Reprise/re-working of 'August of Wind' with a less tedius intro and smoother solo recording, sadly without the panning of the original... { Tags : blues, jazz, album, ebb, flow, instrumental }
