it really depends on your definition of metal. But in an overall perspective, it can TRY to pull off metal. Most people who have them, and want metal, upgrade the tubes, speaker, and add an overdrive. The most it can do without is hardrock

The action is fairly low, not the fastest around, but definately good enough for lead. The neck is like the Les Paul neck. It's hand filling. It has a good amount of weight to it, and the mahogany/maple body is sounds nice.
