Ahh, I see where you're coming from. I wasn't going to post anything in that thread, but the writer was kind enough to critique a poem of mine and asked me to, so I was returning a favour. I let him know at the beginning though, which explains why I really had no more to add than little bits.

As for why I don't like iambic pentameter, I don't really know. I tend to like less uniform poem meters. I like 8-6-8-6, whatever that is called (long time since english class). Its just not my thing, really. I can appreciate it, but I can never really enjoy it and get really involved in it.

Also, it wasn't in iambic? I assume you mean because of the stresses, I had honestly forgotten that stress patterns were so specific in iambic. That was ignorance on my part.

I mean, I have no problems with people who enjoy iambic pentameter, I just can't seem to enjoy it as much as them, but commented to return the favour to the writer.
