This might be something that is really fun for me and all out there. This Day In Rock and Roll History! It's just what happened on the current day in history!
I'll Start With today:
Today is December 10
1967- The Steve Miller Blues Band becomes the Steve Miller Band- The Steve Miller band signed their record contract with Capitol for $750,000. By doing this they had to drop the word Blues out of their name.
1967- Otis Redding Dies- Otis Redding and his Band crash on a tour plane, killing Otis Redding and members of his band.
1975- The Who win another gold record- The Who by numbers was the album that earned them a gold record.
1976- Paul McCartney wins a US chart topper- with live "Wings" performances called "Wings over America", McCartney Proved that he could be more than the Beatles bassist.
1999- Rick Danko dies- bass player for The Band, dies in his sleep in Woodstock, New York one day after celebrating his 56th birthday.
