For Every Firefox User (Yes YOU!)

Seeing as I got a pretty good response from this in some thread I can't remember, I shall post this info for all my Firefox-using UG comrades. Prepare for a faster Firefox experience.

Ok part one: Type "about:config" in the address bar in Firefox. Type in OR scroll down to the following lines

1. network.http.pipelining
2. network.http.proxy.pipelining
3. network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Firefox makes one request to a webserver at a time, altering to the following values makes multiple requests and REALLY speeds up loading. Alter the entries as follows

network.http.pipelining to TRUE
network.http.proxy.pipelining to TRUE
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Set a value number of 30, This makes it so Firefox makes 30 requests at once and gets information through faster.

now the last thing you want to do is right-click anywhere in an open area and click on New Integer. Type in "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set the Value to 0 (zero) This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

This is 100% safe and legal.

I stand by it. FF is now my only (and fastest) browser.

Pipelineing also puts stress on the servers of the websites your visit though, causing bandwidth problems.
