Well after checking out the hard rock basswars it seems i'm winning and although i should be happy that i'm making it through the first round, i'm not.
Basswars is about finding the best bassist and showcasing your skills to the rest of the forum. This is where my problem lies, as those of you who voted on the hard rock genre will know my piece is a bassline from a hard rock song where as my opponent chrisatgrace's piece isn't hard rock at all. I'll be the first to tell you that chrisatgrace's piece is a hundred times better than mine yet i'm winning on the technicallity that mine is more hard rock. Now this technicallity makes me feel like i'm cheating my way through basswars, i don't deserve to make it through the first round because my piece isn't up to standard.
That's my view of it anyway and it seems to be the views of the voting public aswell
Dude, your piece made it through because it kicked *ss, I liked yours better than Christagrace's because it was better fitted to the genre, and because it was a good song. Just chill and let the funk take over.
