I am a seventeen years old. I have been homeschooled and catholic all my life. When I was two my mom enrolled me in a program called Kindermusic which exposes kids to music at a young age. I loved it! When I was six I started taking violin lessons. My teacher was thrilled that I could already read music perfectly at such a young age. I took lessons for many years from a few different teachers until about three years ago my parents pulled me out because they and I felt I was not being pushed enough and it cost a lot considering I was going nowhere. So I've been self taught since.
I was in a youth symphony and after five years climbed my way to concertmaster(first chair first violin). So I got used to playing in a group a while ago. I also ''fiddle'' at square dances and play backing guitar when I'm not dancing.
Somewhere along the way I started messing around with piano and can play pretty well considering I still have trouble reading bass clef. I taught myself.
On my fifteenth birthday I asked for a guitar and my grandparents bought me a used electric and amp from a pawn shop. I learned how to play using chord charts and this website, and after a while I was playing great. I would say it's my main instrument now considering I play basically every day and have impressed everyone I've played for. I now own newer electric and acoustic guitar. I play a wide variety of music, from pop to hard rock, rap to country. Christina Perri to AC/DC and My Chemical Romance.
A few months after I learned guitar I bought a Ukulele and learned it very quickly (because it's basically a mini guitar). It's a fun instrument to play, but there are not to many songs on ukulele, so I don't play it as much as guitar.
Though I am very gifted in music I don't plan on doing it as a career. I plan on getting a job as a contractor and getting married.
I have some awesome friends too. Something I've never once wished I had different ones. We're all crazy and weird, some more then others, but I enjoy the good times.
I am the oldest of eight kids (five boys three girls all the same parents), and I love them all. I am a catholic, and I serve the tridentine rite as well as byzantine sometimes during the week. I'm quite active in my faith. I play tennis, golf and basketball. I like to play covers with a few of my friends when I can.
So I have a pretty busy life between friends, family, school, church, girls, listening to music and playing it. I love music. It's my addiction. It's my voice.
I live in Greensburg PA and am interested in forming a band (nothing big, just for fun) if anyones interested and lives close message me and we could work something out.
