There's a M/B 400+ on Basschat right now, £850 , I had no idea what the prices were before they were discontinued, but I bet used price just shot up!

I play through an Ashdown ABM 300 - great in a band situation, not so sure solo! But still a really nice head, and when does anyone ever play solo? That goes to a Epifani UL410 (oh yeah), which I think is the best thing ever, ever ever! Bought second hand off of Basschat, from a guy who just so happens to be my music tech teacher next year in college! I hope to replace my head with a seperates, I have no idea where to go when it comes to preamps though, never had the pleasure to try any out, maybe Eden? From what I've heard of them, they sound really nice! What would you recommend? I also think I need some more power, so I'll nab one of those Yamaha preamps, Dood recommended them on BC, can't really get a better plug than that, can you?

At the moment I'm doing:

English, Irish, French, Maths, History, Music, Physics and Accounting.

And in college I want to do either music or engineering.

Hey, I got my bass DI today, I've only played it briefly though, so far I'm pretty satisfied, but I won't be playing it in a band situation 'til late this month, and I won't be gigging with it until September sometime, but I'll be sure to let you know how I get on. Thanks for your help!
