I do already try to listen to as many different types of music as possible, i listen to stuff like Iron Maiden as well as country and acoustic stuff too (Brad Paisley, Tommy Emmanuel, etc.).
I'll definitely see what i can do with recording, and from September onwards I'll be studying music at university and will have access to proper recording equipment, so i can get something done there.
And I've heard a few Thin Lizzy songs but I'll definitely give them a proper listen.
