I think whenever you pickup another instrument it helps with the one you're already playing. Starting on drums definately helped with guitar and bass because of the focus on syncopation and rhythm. Bass helped with guitar because of the reach and strength needed in the hands. Guitar helped with the other two because it allowed me to look at them more compositionally - by understanding their unique place in the whole I am able to take them out of the simple support role and expand them musically.
