Garrghgahgh

Current mood: pissed off

I just wrote a big ass blog about my new found love for electro music. Noticing a slight mistake, I pressed the backspace button. Because I hadn't clicked on the text properly, it went to the last page I had been on, causing my wall of text to promptly delete itself.

Well, fuck it.

I'm back

Dude.

So I've been back from Italy for a couple of days. Skiing was totally bitching, mainly on accountant of our awesome instructor, Jean.

There may be pictures of me wearing aviators floating about the place. I'll try to find some of them and upload. Or not, depending on the nature of the pics.

Good times.

I'm not there

I'm gonna be away. So don't bother trying to contact me. Not that you would, anyway.

Because I haven't done this in a while

Current mood: quixotic

I thought I should do me an update, but as its been a while, I figure the best way to go about things is in the form of a comprehensive list of whats been going on since christmas. Oh yes.

  • Watching TV
  • Listening to dance music
  • Drawing circuit diagrams
  • Trying to pull
  • Bleeding on lots of things
  • Making lists of things I like, e.g different types of meat, evolutionaly biologists
  • Trying to procure an old synth from the school music department
  • Reading terrible books
  • Welding bits of metal to other, random bits of metal
  • Failing to pull
  • Trying to learn italian from a french dude
  • Playing on the xbox (specifically the awesome Fallout 3)
  • Listening to metal
  • Trying to make/modify effects pedals
  • Getting into sparring matches in class
  • Drawing (badly)
  • Reading amazing books
  • Lurking
  • Thinking I've succeded at pulling, only to be told again and again that I'm "A really good friend" (I'm beggining to think that I should just introduce myself to girls by punching them in the uterus. I heard they like nasty guys)
  • Showing everyone who will look my Pac-man belt
  • Playing slap bass
  • Getting into snowball fights with kids half my age
  • Dancing
  • Not revising for any of the recent NABs I've had to do, bar one
  • Passing all of the NABs, except for the one I revised for
  • Nearly crashing my friends 1999 Daewoo Matiz whil driving in a field
  • Electrocuting myself
  • Trying to create trance anthems on the Stylophone
  • Numerous thing I can't remember
  • And last, but not least, playing the geet-arr
So, whats in store for the near to immediate future? Well, I made a previous mention of going to go see The Killers, but unfortunatley the concert is on the same day as my english prelim and as such I cant go, so that sucks pretty hard. This time next week, I should be in Italy with my school-chums, about to go ski-ing. Aside from that, I don't think there's going to be anything else happening.

Not that you care, of course.

Catch you on the flip side. Whatever that means.

2 Things in one day

Golly gosh, isn't that amazing. Twas in Glasgow over the weekend, and had nothing better to do than stand ina room with a few hundred old folks, staring a another five old blokes standing on stage and playing the same three chords over and over again. So I went to go see Status Quo. I had said the day before to some friends that I wouldn't pay to go and see them, as i'd have to pay for transport and accomodation, but I had forgotton that I was going away anyway for some shopping. It was alright actually. In the near future lies both The Killers and AC/DC. Woot.

Profiles

There's people more qualified to do this than me, but several people have been inquiring about my truly spectacular profile page. Just lift the HTML here, plonk it into your "about me" section, and change some of the texts to your liking.

Now, I can't really remember what all of this shizzle does, but if you put them in one at a time, you'll probably be able to tell whats going on. Colour codes can be found here. http://html-color-codes.com/

Crazy stuff, cool shizzle.

Not really. I havn't been on here in a while, so sorry for the huge backlog of messages trying to contact me tellling me how awesome I am. (I can dream, can't I?) Twas the half-term, so I headed up round Dundee way to see family and that. Was all good. Finally got a refund on the playstation I orderd in August, used the cash to get myself an Xbox, as all me homies be gettin them. Incase you wanna know, my ID is rossco255. Homies. (Gotta stop that.)

Comin' at you, like a flannel.

Homework?!?! In a blog!!!!????!!!???

What's that Ross? Asking UG for help? Yep. Well, not really. I need a list of ten songs that would work as a soundrack to The Catcher in The Rye. Standard stuff. So far I have:

Creep-Radiohead
Time-Pink Floyd
Hurt-(can't decide between the Cash and the NIN versions)
FREEBIRD!!!!-Lynyrd Skynyrd
Yesterday-The Beatles
Eleanor Rigby-The Beatles
A song whose name I can never remember (but it isn't Love Will Tear Us Apart)-Joy Division

So yeah, any other ideas would be appreciated, but I can probably work the rest out all by my lonesome. My near permanent search for like-minded souls and a job still aren't getting anywhere, and the PS3 I ordered a month ago from Zavvi hasn't arrived. I managed to get a listen to my english teachers old band. We'll leave it at that.

In terms of guitar playing, I keep telling myself to practise, practise, practise, but tbh I never really do. Songwritting, is a bit of a mixed bag. Some tunes just keep sounding the same, but occaisionally I'll stumble on something original.

Keep it real, or else I'll come at you like a social worker.

Cheerio

Exams n'such

Well I havenae posted a blog in a while, and with the recent aquisation of my exam results I thought I may as well.

Now, I'm not thick, actually, I would think of myself as rather bright, so I could have easily passed all of my exams no problemo, if it hadn't been for my guitar, my friends, and everything else that was gonna cause a distraction. The exams came and went, and i wasn't really sure about how I had done. Yesterday, I got the envelope with the results in, and I was cacking myself. Opened it up and...

was washed over by a wave of indifference. Two A's and a C at intermediate 2, and a couple of 2's at standard grade. So I did okay, but I didn't do great. My mum and dad were pretty pleased that i had passed, but that C for english had dampened my spirits. Whatever. I can do the subjects I wanted to do next year, and my mum says she'll help towards buying a ps3.

Cheerie-bye, and as always, sorry for taking up your valuable time.
