originaly recorded with the band "looking back" in 2007, this is my personal version , I only kept the drums played by Michel and played myself the guitars, bass and vocals ...
a walking bass blues played on my piano then a guitar solo on my washburn electric guitar.
I dedicate this song to my dear UG friend LedDavezeppelin { Tags : piano, blues }
This song was composed by Dadi in the seventies as a tribute to Chet atckins, Difficult for me to play as good as he... I play here on my nylon string takamine
This is the very first track I've recorded with cubase on my computer in december 2006. It was Great fun to sing with some other parts of myself... { Tags : Beatles }
HELP!
HELP! I NEED SOMEBODY,
HELP! NOT JUST ANYBODY,
HELP! YOU KNOW I NEED SOMEONE, HELP.
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, SO MUCH YOUNGER THAN TODAY,
I NEVER NEEDED ANYBODY'S HELP IN ANY WAY.
BUT NOW THESE DAYS ARE GONE, I'M NOT SO SELF ASSURED,
NOW I FIND I'VE CHANGED MY MIND I'VE OPENED UP THE DOORS.
HELP ME IF YOU CAN, I'M FEELING DOWN
AND I DO APPRECIATE YOU BEING AROUND.
HELP ME GET MY FEET BACK ON THE GROUND,
WON'T YOU PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME.
AND NOW MY LIFE HAS CHANGED IN OH SO MANY WAYS,
MY INDEPENDENCE SEEMS TO VANISH IN THE HAZE.
BUT EV'RY NOW AND THEN I FEEL SO INSECURE,
I KNOW THAT I JUST NEED YOU LIKE I'VE NEVER DONE BEFORE.
HELP ME IF YOU CAN, I'M FEELING DOWN
AND I DO APPRECIATE YOU BEING AROUND.
HELP ME GET MY FEET BACK ON THE GROUND,
WON'T YOU PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME.
HELP ME IF YOU CAN, I'M FEELING DOWN
AND I DO APPRECIATE YOU BEING ROUND.
HELP ME, GET MY FEET BACK ON THE GROUND,
WON'T YOU PLEASE,
PLEASE HELP ME,
HELP ME,
HELP ME, OH.
Two acoustic guitars, then a harp and a third guitar for the solo
I did not really compose this, it is a personal interpretation of the movie tune "O Brother"
Two of us riding nowhere
Spending someone's
Hard earned pay
You and me Sunday driving
Not arriving
On our way back home
We're on our way home
We're on our way home
We're going home
Two of us sending postcards
Writing letters
On my wall
You and me burning matches
Lifting latches
On our way back home
We're on our way home
We're on our way home
We're going home
You and I have memories
Longer than the road that stretches out ahead
Two of us wearing raincoats
Standing so low
In the sun
You and me chasing paper
Getting nowhere
On our way back home
We're on our way home
We're on our way home
We're going home
You and I have memories
Longer than the road that stretches out ahead
Two of us wearing raincoats
Standing solo
In the sun
You and me chasing paper
Getting nowhere
On our way back home
We're on our way home
We're on our way home
We're going home
Now that I've lost everything to you
You say you wanna start something new
And it's breakin' my heart you're leavin'
Baby, I'm grievin'
But if you want to leave, take good care
I hope you have a lot of nice things to wear
But then a lot of nice things turn bad out there
Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world
It's hard to get by just upon a smile
Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world
I'll always remember you like a child, girl
You know I've seen a lot of what the world can do
And it's breakin' my heart in two
Because I never wanna see you a sad girl
Don't be a bad girl
But if you want to leave, take good care
I hope you make a lot of nice friends out there
But just remember there's a lot of bad and beware
Chorus
Baby, I love you
But if you wanna leave, take good care
I hope you make a lot of nice friends out there
But just remember there's a lot of bad and beware
Left a good job in the city,
Workin for the man evry night and day,
And I never lost one minute of sleepin,
Worryin bout the way things might have been.
Chorus:
Big wheel keep on turnin,
Proud mary keep on burnin,
Rollin, rollin, rollin on the river.
Cleaned a lot of plates in memphis,
Pumped a lot of pain down in new orleans,
But I never saw the good side of the city,
til I hitched a ride on a river boat queen.
Chorus
Rollin, rollin, rollin on the river.
If you come down to the river,
Bet you gonna find some people who live.
You dont have to worry cause you have no money,
People on the river are happy to give.
Chorus
Rollin, rollin, rollin on the river.
Rollin, rollin, rollin on the river.
Before you accuse me, take a look at yourself
Before you accuse me, take a look at yourself
You say Ive been spending my money on other women
Youve been taking money from someone else
I called your mama bout three or four nights ago
I called your mama bout three or four nights ago
Well your mother said son
Dont call my daughter no more
SOLO
Come back home baby, try my love one more time
Come back home baby, try my love one more time
If I dont go on and quit you
Im gonna lose my mind
Recorded in 1984 , this is a melody previously made on a commercial record in the sixties with a piano backing chords, here is a rough take.
I had great fun clapping my hands behind my father's performance { Tags : cello }

A gallant love then I would be
And offer on a bended knee
All that I am and serve her well

And when the soft wind blows
Reeds by the water mere
Turning their heads can hear
The sound of her voice where she goes

(You can find this TAB trough my contributions on UG)
This was recorded in Studio with the Band SHAKER in which I played guitar and vocals harmonies in 2005, description of the band :
Valy (vocals)
Philippe (guitar & vocals)
Alex (Bass)
Phil (Drums)
On that instrumental rock , I play the guitars and bass ; do you know who plays the drums ?
the Creedence clearwater revival , haha , I made a sample of the drum intro of their famous Susie Q song, isn't it better than having electronic drums backwards ?
I don't want you to be high
I don't want you to be down
Don't want to tell you no lie
Just want you to be around
Please come right up to my ears
You will be able to hear what I say
Don't want you out in my world
Just you be my backstreet girl
Please don't be part of my life
Please keep yourself to yourself
Please don't you bother my wife
That way you won't get no help
Don't try to ride on my horse
You're rather common and coarse anyway
Don't want you out in my world
Just you be my backstreet girl
Please don't you call me at home
Please don't come knocking at night
Please never ring on the phone
Your manners are never quite right
Please take the favors I grant
Curtsy and look nonchalant, just for me
Don't want you part of my world
Just you be my backstreet girl
This is a Joke song, I started with my auto-harp then added all the others instrument I could find (exept electric guitar) : guimbarde, classical guitar, bass and mandolin, tambourine, and piano.
This is an instrumental in the Santana style composed for the blues duels in september 2009 , I proposed it for the first round of the Blues Duel IV on UG in January 2010 { Tags : blues, salmon }
The acoustic guitar plays the rythm and I added three solos with different instruments,
first : Electric washburn with a little reverb
second: Harp in D
third: Electric Godin "Solidac" with crunch { Tags : blues }
a funky rythm on my electric Washburn with a bass and a maracas, the solo is played on my Washburn too with a glass bottleneck. this song was composed for the Blues duels IV round 3.
you can hear exactly the same rythm on my profile on another song I played with the band Shaker called "Mustang Sally"
Les mêmes matins d'hiver,
Les mêmes yeux entr'ouverts,
Les mêmes détresses,
Les mêmes genoux griffés
Pour trouver à l'arrivée
La même maîtresse,
On se répétait sans cesse
Amis,
Amis,
Contre tous les coups du sort
De la journée,
On sera deux.
Amis,
Amis,
A la vie comme à la mort,
Plus emmêlés
Que nos cheveux
Quand, trop vite, on a grandi,
On se retrouve transi.
Loin des jeuxde billes,
Sous nos boutons de malheur
A se torturer le crieur
Pour la même fille,
Est-ce assez pour qu'on oublie ?
Amis,
Amis,
On a le sens de l'humour
Quand sont trop lourds
Ces chagrins-là.
Amis,
Amis,
A la vie comme à l'amour.
Chacun son tour
Les portera.
Tant d'histoire partagée,
De coups de cœur échangés,
D'amour et d'insulte
Pour ne pas s'apercevoir
Qu'on est dix ans sans se voir
Dans tout ce tumulte
Pour se retrouver adulte.
Amis,
Amis,
On n'a plus rien à se dire.
On a fini
Par arriver,
Amis,
Amis,
Doucement à devenir
Deux abrutis,
Deux étrangers
