Favorite bands :
RHCP, John Mayer, SRV, Hendrix, Dylan, Glen phillips, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Costello, Oasis, Dan Tyminski and Ron Block(highly elusive folk players who I heard off the crossroads festival 2003) Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Iron & Wine, Dire Straits, ZZ Top. most everyone else does not interest me currently. no metal.
Favorite guitarists :
well I'd say that the lead guitarists in pretty much all my fave bands are good. vince gill, robert randolph, my history teacher is pretty damned good, as well as andrew kokkokis, a local player. SRV is the best ever, John mayer could be as good if he lives long enough. both owe their skill to hendrix. also mike mccready and brian may.
Favorite books :
I won't list them here, too much trouble. basically anything which causes me to think is pretty good. I no longer read for stories anymore, harry potter was the last book i'll ever read for that purpose.
Favorite tv :
Colbert all the way, baby!
Favorite movies :
I'm not listing. a bunch, pretty much eclectic taste. If you pm me to ask or anything about movie's, i'll cut your balls off and pin them to the headstock of my tele when I buy it in october.
well I'm 17, about 6'1 and 150 lbs, a senior in high school. I have many other interests outside of guitar and bass, such as visual art, martial arts, performing arts, and of course writing music. my strengths are improv, playing solos, learning quickly, and slapping. things I need to work on include memorizing more songs, playing whilst I sing, writing more, finishing my damn songs, and certain difficult blues riffs. been playing bass a year and guitar 6 months; as I have said I learn quickly and I know a fair bit about music, so in another year I reckon I could play for real.
