So, about a month or so back, I went to Japan with some dudes and dudettes from my school to the 4th International Students Science Fair. It was sooooo cool.
There were people from all over the world and all of them were really nice. The Japanese are so friendly, everyone we met was kind and everything. It was really depressing when we came back to England because the weather is shit and everyones miserable. But anyway, we saw all the sights and temples on our days off and it generally a very, very awesome 10 days. Thank God for Facebook or else I wouldn't be able to keep in touch with all the friends I made.
It would be cool if anyone else who went was on UG, so if you did go, leave me a comment.

So, browsing through Youtube, I found a video of Katy Perry performing on Warped Tour. Yes, she's the one who `kissed a girl`. What has happened!? Warped Tour was a good tour, admittedly there were some good bands, but pop does not belong there, sort it out please!
OK, this all started when I went on a school trip to London and Oxford, and me and some friends and a couple of people who are really annoying but I try to put up with where in one of our hotel rooms, (we had one each), and all these people were playing shitty music like Trivium and Dragonforce on their phones, so I decided to kick all their music's ass, so I put the volume up to full and blasted out Stuck In My Throat by Reuben. What happened next shocked and disgusted me. One of the annoying girls piped up,"That sounds like a bad Trivium rip off". I was livid. Trivium sound like a bad Trivium rip off for fucks sake, they're shit, (I'll admit they have their moments, but on the whole they are crap), but they don't even come close to the majesty that is Reuben. Reuben don't even sound vaguely like Trivium. I was so angry I buggered off back to my room and went to sleep, grr.
Secondly, I was listening to the radio today, and I heard Kid Rock come on, with `his`, `new` song. I thought, this is familiar. Then I realised it was the tune of Sweet Home Alabama. Now I'm OK with people covering songs, but using the tune and changing the words is stupid, also American Bad Ass rips off Metallica. Can't the man write any of his own tunes?
On a lighter note, Zebrahead's new album is out and it is fucking legendary. Also I think the video for The Walking Dead was filmed at a gig I was at. Sweet!
So, Reuben might be calling it quits, pretty gutting but i guess it's for the best if they are. Meanwhile I can listen to their awesome music. www.wordsfromreuben.com
