Christian debate

I'm a Christian.

Now on to the less important stuff.
What do you think?
should Christians worship in the old way with organ/piano, or the modern way, with guitar/drumbs/bass etc.? Or a mix? or both?
I'm torn.
Maybe in church piano/organ, and at youth camp, youth group etc. the new way.
I love piano and guitar, and I play them both.
I think you can honor God both ways.
What do you think?

I'm atheist, but i think it's cool that you can have a powerful or enjoyable experience like that. I say the new way. Honestly, the stuff with piano/organ was viewed as cutting edge or just loud noise in it's time too. Go for it :)

Do you think that there's a place for both? Or should we throw out Piano/Organ?
Any reason why your're an athiest?

Well honestly I think you should throw out all of them except just the Grand Piano. I think the Organ makes a terribly ugly sound and having a full rock band for spiritual experiences it completely hypocritical. But a well played Grand Piano is something that I could listen to all day.

Just a Grand? I think that organs are very nice. And in youth groups, I think that guitars are great.

Guitar are ment for a rock band, not a spriritual communion meeting. And I hate the sound of ograns because they sound so generic and cliche, once you've heard one song with an organ you've heard them all.

I think that if a worship band will make the gosple more appealing, then have a worship band.

I think worship in and of itself is a very, very personal thing. While it is something to worship God, authentic worship just doesn't happen if you can't get into it. So, if you're into traditional style of worship, and that's how you connect with and praise God best, then go for it.

Or, if you're like me and you have much love for newer, band-based worship music, then have at it.

Whatever touches you the most, that's where you should be and what you should be doing. After all, the Bible doesn't say HOW to worship, just TO worship.
