Our first song that truly came together. This version was recorded hastily on the last day of school in an attempt to get all of our songs recorded, so please excuse the bad quality.
Drifting down a river of sand
Grains of salt sifting through my hands
As the sky turns black, you will understand
Got to find the Promised Land
And the clouds are building higher
And the world is set on fire
And the judgement of the liars
Is coming on to you
And the sky is ever fading
And the torture's unrelenting
Is this all in my head
Or am I insane?
I say you've only got one life
Live it while you can
I've made up my mind
I can't bring you along this time
(Time) is running out for us
Never to be seen again
(Again), the river turns to dust
Memories fade away
Here is the first of my solo uploads. This one was recorded with vocals and the Guitar Pro program. I'll re-record it after I finally get an acoustic guitar. Also, these are my vocals...and you'll see why we need an actual vocalist. But this'll give you some idea of the melodies we work on.
This song is about an experience I had at Washington, D.C., where a homeless man picked through a trash can as I ate a fancy meal. Needless to say it affected me, but I still didn't do anything to help.
