Good luck...

You can PM me if you need help with the Sweep knob... that one knob basically makes that amp very versatile.

One point to note tho... its kinda one-trick-pony. It doesn't do anything other than metal and decent cleans well. However, once you figure out how the Sweep knob impacts your EQ, that amp can do many kinds of metal well.

Test one first though, not everyone can accept the voicing of a Krank amp.
Ok, thanks!

I think I'll just push for the 50 watt head if I do get the Krank. Thanks!

I have not been to Malaysia in a while. I think I was only 1 or 2 when my family took me there. My dad ocassionally goes there to see family, but that's really it. I'd love to go back though, as I don't remember anything.

hey man, just wanted to let you know Tim got back to me. He swears up and down Cold Sweats are the way to go with my guitar... says he even made a set for Peter Diezel.

Hey, kitty.

Just kidding. But may I ask if the Rev Jr Pro 20 is loud enough for small gigs/band practices?

Suup d00d?

What's new?

Considering your christmas options?

Looks like the Flextone's my best option.

I just don't know if I should ditch the versatility and go for true tube tone.
Will an SS amp like the Flextone respond as well to pick attack as a tube amp?

What are you looking at this time? I'd recommend saving up for Mesa Mk V.

Alternatively... the Randall MTS series... particularly the RM20 and RM50 are definitely worth a look. Plus the cool part is all the modded modules, the Soldano mod makes the RM20 so tempting. Altho I do realise I shouldn't be looking at new amps.

Randall has a Hong Kong dealer at...

Parsons Music
8th Floor Railway Plaza
39 Chatham Road South Tsimshatsui
Kowloon
Hong Kong

If the amps aren't to your liking... well at least you're near some shopping!

Yeah...parsons music...they deal Orange and Randall amps. There's actually this used Mesa Mark IV head on the classifieds going for 12k HKD...which is way over my budget. :(

I haven't seen the RM20 in Parsons Music but I'm sure I could request them to stock them so I can try before I buy. Thanks for the suggestions tho :)

Whaaaaa?

Why am I mentioned on someone else's page?

What amp did you get in the end? Are you still saving up for the Flextone III XL?

I forgot how the topic came to be about you  :p:

I still haven't gotten a new amp...waiting till Xmas. Might get something better. I'll probably bump my budget up to nearly 1000 USD.

Dude... your offset V is sweet.

Don't care much for the fixed bridge (IMO, offset Vs should always have flyod roses) but the body is nice.

Nice amps too... I like the Crate with blue lights.

Thanks. You've got some nice gear there yourself. I'm jealous of the Mark V.
As for the flying V, I tend to change tunings a lot, which was the main reason for the hardtail. I'm getting ready to start on a King V build, and there will be a floyd on there I promise :)
