Sweet. I would suggest looking at a Lexicon Lambda, sweet USB interface and really simple controls, even allows for looping to effects, etc. And no power cords / adapters!

You need a better interace to record with! I recommend the Lexicon Omega or Lambda... sounds great!

Are you miking the amps, or the entire band? etc...

1. Thanks for the compliments on the song. It's really much appreciated. I'm gonna do a retake this week actually. It's gonna have more textures/layers on it though; i have a lot of new gear and stuff so i really wanna experiment. Overall, it shouldn't sound too different though.
2. my LP is great. It doesn't play as fast as i'd like it too, but i've kinda gotten used to it since i've had it for so long.
-peace,
christian

1. yeah i remember that song, i listened to it a couple times
its a great song, but a better production would help tons :)
2. ah cool, yeah i'm probably gonna go with either the standard or the custom, but either way the pickups will probably get changed down the road :)
also could you check out my song? (the newest one)
tell me what you think
thanks :)

i love the untitled song dude, i've listened to it a couple times in a row
obviously the timing and stuff is off of it, but just like get the parts together and do a retake of it because it sounds awesome so far

sounds... good? hahaha

Got back from a trip with work, absolutely shattered, sick as well! Was sick on my birthday, how unfortunate eh

Ha any preference to the beer you had there? Reminds me of a joke I heard as well; (don't know if you'll get it, there was a fire / arson at a mansion in the UK where a family called the Fosters died)

"I've been invited to a BBQ at a mansion in the UK, there's loads of beer, but no Fosters"

and

"Police have had to wait until today to remove the bodies from the burnt out manor house in Maesbrook, a spokesperson said they had to wait until everything had cooled down. Well you wouldn't want a warm Fosters would you."

:D

aaah yeah i'm in the UK where the age cut off for school years is September, so being at the very start means i'm one of the oldest ;)

And your plan sounds rather good, may have to take a leaf out of your book.... Only problem is i'm away with work, weathers crap. havent got a twister mat and the girls would probably be a bit disappointing :P

Noyon999 wrote on Aug 31st, 2008 11:37pm

Thanks for crit once more!

alright has a very kickass hard feeling to it. Almost kinda creepy near 1:30 seconds.
A decent recording as well.

IT is something that can definitely turn into a badass song!

you got lyrics?

do you do everything on the track btw?

hye dude thanks for the crit, the songs petty cool i can haer the slash influence in this alright, the drum beat is cool nt great but it fits, the playing is nice although timng can be an issue, also with that solo at abut 2:20, you don't alway have to play as fast as possible, i lvethe way that solo starts it sounds like the guitar is screming ut then u try to go to fast i reckon ease up on the speed and a bit mroe melody, hell you already had one quick solo befroe it

James_Het_Rules wrote on Jun 20th, 2008 6:44am

Pretty nice song you got there, and thanks for the crit. The main riff reminds me alot of Velevet Revolver/Guns n' Roses. The drums are pretty good, good simple beat which always a great thing to have in a song. The guitar solo wasn't bad for a 2 yearer, and definately fit the song pretty well. The overall riffage was simple and effective, that there makes for a great song, keep up the good work!
