As I'm sure many of you are aware, Mike Alexander - bassist for UK thrashers Evile - has very sadly passed away. Mike has been a very dear friend to me over the past four or five years, and to everyone else in the metal community too. The news of his passing is devastating and I extend my sincere condolences to Matt, Ol, Ben and Mike's family.
Mike was an extraordinary person, and to me he was never 'Mike from Evile' - he was just Mike. He was always a friend first and a member of a band second, he was always full of laughs and making jokes, and he was always cheering me on and helping me out. To lose such a dear friend is a tragedy and I'm left utterly speechless over this event.
Mike, I salute you. Your advice, your support, your music and most importantly your friendship, will never ever be forgotten. I love you with all my heart Mike, and may you rest in peace my friend. Everything I do from now on, I'll do for you brother.
