I know very, very few people here on UG really listen to my band or frequently check up on the progress we make, but all the same I'm bored outta my damn skull so I'm just gonna post something on here
Essentially, we struck gold - Myself and Don (bass player) know people who work at Decat studios in darnall, Sheffield and they're allowing us to record our record there for absolutely nothing. So its saving us a good few hundred, inf not a couple of thousand pounds to get this done. On top of that, we've got out friend Dicky to fill in on the drums for the recordings which is amazing - he can make a single bass pedal sound like a quadruple (LOL) and he can improvise or pick stuff in in seconds. This is all really good right?
Wrong. The only available dates to make this album are April 7th, 8th and 9th along with one or two extra days for mixing and mastering. Since we need some thorough preperation for this, we're aiming to have all the songs written before March 29th. And we still have four songs left to write, which is the biggest problem since I've got horrible writers block at the moment
I thought making an awesome thrash playlist would help me get some inspiration, but it didn't. I went to Gigantour in Nottingham last month and got the hunger and the fire for writing, but it didn't help writers block. So I literally have about two weeks to get four songs written, and I dunno if I'm gonna be able to do it.
Any help, tips, hints, suggestions are all welcome everyone.
