About phillies0119
Hello,
I have been playing guitar for 3 years now, and I am 15 years old. I listen to almost all rock from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. As far as equipment, my first guitar was a PRS SE Custom, which for the money sounds incredible. My first amp was a Fender Frontman 25R. I hated the amp. I would pay someone if they could find an amp that had a worse distortion channel, but as far as a $150 amp goes I guess it was alright. Almost a year ago, I got the guitar that will probable out live me. I got a beautiful Gibson SG Standard. I had always wanted one from the time I started, and I finally got enough mone together, along with birthday money, to afford it. I am in a band and I also go to the Cherry Hill School of Rock. When I play my SG through some of the nicer tube amps there like and epiphone valve senior and for a while one of the instructors brought a 61' Reissue Fender Tube amp, it blew away my old one. My birthday is in a few days, and I am hoping I am able to get either a Vox AC30, preferable, depending on what kind of deals guitar center can do for me, or a Vox AC15, which costs about half as much. They both have the alnico blue speakers which sound great, just the AC30 is a 2x12 as opposed to 1x12 in the AC15. They are both loud, but I need to be able to play over drums. If guitar center can take maybe $300 or 20% off of the AC30 I am sold, but if they can't i'll have to settle for either the AC15, or another amp, but I am definitly going with a tube amp.
