I think Chris Thile is the best musician out of ANYBODY. Another huge inspiration is Andrew McMahon and Freddie Mercury( I realize these aren't guitar players) But my fav guitar players are Pete Townshend and Dave Matthews.
Favorite bassists :
The only bassist I can think of off the top of my head is Mike Dirnt. He's ok I guess. I like his solo in J.A.R.
Favorite books :
i don't really read that often cause I'm always so tired at night. I like Harry Potter though and Nicholos Sparks...

I recently really got into bluegrass music, my inspiration being the amazing Chris Thile, and I got a mandolin for Christmas!! I kind of put down my guitar for a while ever since and have been messing around with my new beautiful sounding mandolin.
